SUMMARY
This article analyzes the photographic montage entitled TransMigrArts Memories, carried out at the Université-Jean
Jaurès during the summer of 2023 as part of the TransMigrARTS project, in which 414 photographs selected from an archive of more than twenty thousand images were acquired. The focus is on the role of the still image, beyond diffusion and registration, as an extensive body of knowledge generator in Applied Research-Creation (ARC). From there, the concept of “rhizomatic agency” is proposed in harmony with the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari, which allows mapping individual and collective narratives, from the management of the archive around the still image and to account for the complexity of the research, through the visual elements legible in the images, the poetics and the human experiences that arise from them. It advocates the singularization of the photographic archive as an atlas where it is possible to generate multiple narratives in constant evolution, turning the interaction between researchers and spectators into a game of bodily and perceptive movements that, from a Bergsonian point of view, have their basis in the image.
