SUMMARY

Amaranta Osorio Cepeda is a playwright, actress and cultural manager. She has three nationalities: Mexican, Colombian and Spanish. She has lived and studied in different countries such as Mexico, Colombia, France, Spain, United States… She is the author of more than twenty plays, her texts have been translated into French, English, German, etc. and she has received several awards, especially in Mexico and Spain. While the feminine, the situation and role of women in society is one of her most important themes, many of her plays also address the experiences of migrants in states of vulnerability. On March 5, 2024, at the cultural center “La Casa Encendida” in Madrid, we had the opportunity to talk with her.
