SUMMARY
Art therapy is a rather broad field of practice. It lies at the crossroads between the fields of art and clinical psychology, with varied and creative forms of articulation. The evaluation of art therapy practices poses difficulties due to the polyform nature of the field, but also because the evaluation of clinical practices is not an easy task in itself. The evaluation of psychotherapies has had its ups and downs, with randomized clinical trials and their controversies. Today, the evaluation of psychotherapies and art therapies is more focused on the study of change processes and practice-based research. This paradigm shift implies focusing on careful observation and in-depth reflection on the systematization of practice. How to systematize in a practice where what is sought precisely goes beyond the framework? How to evaluate the unexpected and creativity without distorting them through the act.
